In a troubling incident on February 6, 2025, a 27-year-old Somali national allegedly attacked two German men, both aged 31, while traveling on a train operated by the Hessian State Railway. The attack occurred around 3:30 PM during a journey from Frankfurt am Main to Kassel.
According to reports, the assailant attempted to injure one of the men using a ballpoint pen and reportedly spat at them during the confrontation. This alarming behavior drew the attention of authorities, prompting a response from a patrol unit from the Schwalmstadt police station.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the altercation. The case was subsequently transferred to the Federal Police Inspection in Kassel for further investigation.
