The individual, identified as a Bangladeshi national, reportedly entered India illegally and had been residing in the city for approximately five to six months.

Police officials revealed that the suspect was employed by a domestic help agency at the time of his arrest, which took place on the outskirts of Mumbai. During a press briefing, Senior Police Officer Dixit Gedam stated that preliminary evidence indicates the assailant intended to commit theft when he invaded Khan's residence.

The shocking incident occurred last Thursday, when Khan was attacked in his home, sustaining six stab wounds to various parts of his body, including his spine, neck, and hands. A female staff member at the actor's residence also suffered injuries during the altercation. Following the attack, Khan underwent surgery and is currently reported to be in stable condition, having since been discharged from the hospital.
