The latest negotiations between Deutsche Bahn and the German railway and transport union have reached an impasse this Saturday. Consequently, the union announced that warning strikes will be the inevitable result. Travelers are to expect significant train cancellations from the start of next week. Affected services are not yet detailed but will be added in due course.
Under certain circumstances, rail customers affected by a strike can claim their money back. Reimbursement in the event of train cancellation: passengers who are unable to complete their journey as planned due to strike-related train cancellations, delays or loss of connection can have their ticket and reservation reimbursed free of charge at the DB Travel Center or DB Agencies. Passengers who do not start their journey can have their ticket refunded - see the Deutsche Bahn website for more information.
