Implementation of new S-Bahn signal box

On Saturday, a new electronic interlocking signal box will be installed. With the 84 million Euro project, the railway brings the interlocking technology up to date, "Now more trains can drive now on the same route," said Volker Hentschel to DB Netz AG in a press release.

During the installation, two routes from Munich to Tutzing and to Geltendorf will be affected. There will also be knock-on effects on some S-Bahn lines. Between Tutzing and Munich will be shuttle busses.

From Saturday 8 p.m. to Sunday 12 a.m., and Monday evening till 0.00, the S-Bahn trains between Central Station and Weilheim and between Tutzing and Kochel will be replaced by buses. For the S6 there will be also buses between Pasing and Tutzing.
