Munich. A small fire caused delays for hundreds of commuters on Tuesday morning on line U2.
A small newspaper, which was lying on the rails of the station at Silberhornstrasse caught fire. The fire brigade arrived and gave the all-clear soon after. For some of the passengers the journey had already ended at the Koenigsplatz due to the heavy tail back of the U-Bahn. Hundreds of commuters had to wait until the barrier was raised or walk to work instead.
