Oktoberfest in the news: How people around see beer's birthday

On wednesday afternoon a cow broke out of her pasture and ventured to a nearby train station in Aßling.
When the cow was discovered on the rails, the Bahn was left with no other choice than to block the busy Munich to Salzburg line. One of the regional trains had to stay at the train station.
Neither the Bahn employees nor the police were able to move the cow out of the train station, it kept walking around the paused regional train.
The alerted fire brigade needed 20 men to be able to shift the cow towards premises bordering the train station, so that the train traffic could go back to normal. A veterinarian gave the cow a sedative injection with a blow pipe so she could be caught.
With a lot of effort the fire men managed to push the cow into the owner's truck to bring her back to her barn in Pfadendorf.
