Germering. Five children, between the age of 8 and 12, sustained injuries at an adventure playground at Aubinger Weg in Germering.
Late on friday afternoon the kids started a campfire under the supervision of the 36 year old manager of the adventure playground. It was about 5.20 PM when the accident occured. One of the kids threw a can of hairspray into the fire. The manager, who was standing on the opposite side of the fire, noticed the kids talking and shouted immediately to get the can out of the fire. Directly after she yelled the can exploded into a darting flame. A 12 year old girl suffered burns to her face and her sister was released from the hospital after a checkup. A 10 year old boy sustained severe burns to his face and on his arms, the boy was brought to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. A 11 year old girl suffered blast trauma and was treated in the ambulance.
A 10 year old boy, suffering from breathing difficulties was also brought to hospital.
