Violent Attacks on Guest Fans in Aachen Following Football Match

Aachen witnessed a disturbing incident following the football match between Alemannia Aachen and Erzgebirge Aue on September 30, 2025. After the conclusion of the game, a group of masked individuals launched an attack on vehicles carrying fans from the visiting team near the Tivoli stadium.

According to reports, around ten assailants targeted two vehicles--one car and one minibus--at the intersection of Krefelder Straße and Eulersweg. The attack occurred when the vehicles stopped at a red light, allowing the perpetrators to approach and vandalize them.

The attackers smashed windows, damaged the vehicles, and forced open a door of the car to snatch a backpack. Inside the vehicles were a total of twelve fans, four of whom sustained minor injuries from flying glass.

In response to the incidents, local law enforcement acted swiftly, apprehending four suspects in the vicinity shortly after the events unfolded. Investigations are ongoing to identify and capture additional individuals involved in the assault.
