Violent Altercation in Vaihingen an der Enz Leads to Arrest of 65-Year-Old Man

In a shocking incident in Vaihingen an der Enz, a 65-year-old man has been taken into custody following a violent confrontation with a 20-year-old. The altercation occurred on the evening of May 22, 2025, in Ziegelgartenstraße, where the younger man and his 18-year-old girlfriend were involved in a heated dispute.

As tensions escalated, the 20-year-old's 60-year-old mother attempted to intervene, which only exacerbated the situation. Reports indicate that the son reacted aggressively, throwing a vase at his mother. This prompted a 65-year-old acquaintance of the mother to step in, leading to a physical struggle between the two men.

During the altercation, the older man reportedly stabbed the younger man in the chest, resulting in serious injuries. The 20-year-old was quickly transported to a hospital for emergency treatment, while the 65-year-old sustained minor injuries.

The police responded swiftly and arrested the older man without resistance shortly after the incident. On May 23, 2025, he was brought before a judge in Heilbronn, who issued an arrest warrant on charges of attempted manslaughter and aggravated assault. The suspect is now being held in a correctional facility.

Ongoing investigations are being conducted by the Ludwigsburg criminal police, who are also looking into the actions of the 20-year-old, as he is facing charges related to bodily harm.
