In an unfortunate incident on Thursday morning, a 50-year-old truck driver was involved in a serious accident on Werrastraße in Meiningen, where he struck a 46-year-old pedestrian. The collision occurred when the pedestrian unexpectedly entered the roadway in a curve, leaving the driver with little time to react.
Despite the driver's efforts to stop the vehicle by executing a full emergency brake, he was unable to avoid the impact. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital via ambulance for medical treatment.
