Tragic Car Accident Claims Four Lives in North Rhine-Westphalia

A serious car accident in Kürten, North Rhine-Westphalia, resulted in the deaths of four young individuals early Saturday morning. The driver, a 16-year-old male, is currently hospitalized with severe injuries after the vehicle he was operating veered off the road and crashed into a tree.

The victims include two teenage girls, aged 14 and 16, and two young men, both 19 years old. The accident occurred around 4:30 AM, when the car reportedly lost control in a left-hand curve and exited the roadway, subsequently colliding with a tree and rolling over. Tragically, one of the victims was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and all four were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including how the underage driver gained access to the vehicle, which belonged to his parents. Reports indicate that he may have taken the car without their knowledge. Emergency services, including trauma counselors, were deployed to assist at the accident site, which remained closed for several hours following the event.
