Traffic Accident in Westhessen Injures Two Children, Causes EUR10,000 Damage

A family from Berlin suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident that occurred in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis area of Westhessen. According to police reports, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon when a 56-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle under unclear circumstances while traveling near Heidenrod-Kemel.

The vehicle veered off the road, colliding with a crash barrier. The impact resulted in a tire burst, causing the car to skid uncontrollably. Subsequently, the vehicle struck the crash barrier on the opposite side of the road and ultimately came to a stop facing the wrong direction on the B260 highway.

The driver, along with his 43-year-old wife and their two young children, aged one and three, were taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries. Fortunately, none of the injuries were reported to be serious. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation, and the damaged vehicle was towed away.

Authorities have estimated the total damage from the accident to be around EUR10,000. The police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the driver losing control of the vehicle.

This incident highlights the importance of road safety and the potential risks associated with driving. Authorities remind drivers to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent accidents.
