Thomas Gottschalk, a prominent figure in the German entertainment industry, is marking his 75th birthday today, having announced his retirement from television entertainment shortly before this milestone. Known affectionately as 'Thommy,' Gottschalk has left an indelible mark on the world of German television, particularly through his long-running show, 'Wetten, dass..?'

With a career spanning approximately five decades, Gottschalk rose to fame with his sharp wit, engaging style, and vibrant personality.
