Tesla Launches New Model 3 Standard in Europe at Lower Entry Price

Tesla has unveiled a new entry-level variant of its popular Model 3 sedan for the European market, aiming to make electric mobility more accessible. The new Model 3 Standard is now available for order, featuring a significantly reduced starting price of EUR36,990. This update replaces the previous base model, which was priced at EUR39,990, representing a EUR3,000 reduction in cost. The Model 3 Standard is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that delivers a capacity of just over 62 kWh. This configuration allows for a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 534 kilometers, which is 20 kilometers less than the outgoing Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive version. However, the new variant benefits from an improved maximum direct current (DC) charging capability, now reaching up to 175 kW--an increase of 5 kW compared to its predecessor. In terms of efficiency, the Model 3 Standard maintains a competitive energy consumption rate, with Tesla reporting a standardized value of 13 kWh per 100 kilometers. For those considering leasing options, the vehicle is available with an upfront payment of EUR6,900, followed by monthly installments of EUR299 over a 60-month term, based on an annual mileage cap of 10,000 kilometers.
