A 17-year-old was apprehended after attempting to rob a bar in Berlin-Hellersdorf while threatening a staff member with a blank-firing gun. The incident occurred late at night, prompting intervention from two patrons who managed to detain the suspect until law enforcement arrived.

According to reports from the Berlin police, the teenager entered the establishment at approximately 3:40 AM and demanded that a 49-year-old employee hand over cash from the register. In a bid to intimidate her, he discharged the blank gun into the air. The employee fled to the rear of the bar, but the suspect pursued her and forcibly took the cash register.

Following the theft, the teenager attempted to escape with the stolen money. However, two guests in the bar intervened, holding him until police officers could secure the scene. Upon their arrival, authorities learned that this was not the first robbery committed by the young offender that night.

Investigation revealed that he had allegedly been involved in another robbery earlier, around 2:30 AM, at a nearby gas station in Mahlsdorf. During that incident, a staff member was also threatened with a weapon, although the proceeds from that crime were minimal, consisting primarily of a few packs of cigarettes.

The police are now conducting thorough investigations into both incidents to determine any further connections and the full extent of the teenager's criminal activities.
