Teen Girl Assaulted in Neuss: Police Seek Witnesses

In Neuss, a 15-year-old girl was attacked and seriously injured by an unknown assailant on the evening of October 1, 2025, around 10 PM. The incident occurred on Nievenheimer Straße in Norf as the victim made her way home from the bus stop at Lessingplatz.

According to reports, the attacker followed the girl from the bus stop until they reached Thomas-Mann-Straße, where he then physically restrained her. A nearby witness intervened by shouting, which startled the attacker and prompted him to flee the scene.

Upon arriving home, the girl discovered a significant cut on her arm and was subsequently taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police investigations suggest that the attacker may have sustained injuries as well, as blood traces were found at the scene.

The suspect is described as a man aged between 40 and 45 years, standing approximately 170 to 180 cm tall, with an athletic build, a square-shaped face, and short dark hair. He is reported to have spoken Russian and was dressed in dark clothing.

Authorities are currently seeking information regarding the motive behind the attack and the weapon used, as these details remain unclear. Despite a search involving multiple police units, the suspect has not yet been apprehended.
