Serious Collision on B70 in Lünne Leaves Five Injured

A significant traffic accident occurred on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 2:50 PM on the B70 road in Lünne, resulting in injuries to five individuals.

A 54-year-old driver of a Ford lost control of his vehicle, veering into oncoming traffic and colliding head-on with a Seat driven by a 19-year-old. The impact was severe, causing the Seat to be pushed over the guardrail while the Ford came to rest on the roadside.

The young driver of the Seat sustained life-threatening injuries, while his 55-year-old passenger and a 48-year-old female passenger were also seriously hurt. Emergency services, including firefighters, were required to extricate the trapped passengers from the vehicle.

The Ford driver suffered serious injuries, and his 89-year-old female passenger experienced minor injuries. All five individuals involved were promptly transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.

The incident prompted a large-scale emergency response, involving multiple ambulances, a rescue helicopter, six emergency physicians, and approximately 50 firefighters with seven vehicles. Due to the severity of the accident, the B70 remained closed to traffic until around 11 PM while authorities conducted their investigation.

Law enforcement is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
