Serious accident after driver broke red light

Munich. A 24 year-old male driver ignored red traffic lights on Sunday afternoon and crashed into another vehicle.

Police announced on Monday morning that the 24 year old driver had caused the accident at the junction of Heckenstallerstr and Höglwörtherstr by jumping red lights. He drove straight through and collided with a crossing car.

A passenger in the car of the 24 year old was seriously injured, as well as the driver himself and another passenger, while the 72-year-old driver of the other car suffered minor injuries. The financial cost of the crash is estimated at several thousand euros.
