In a devastating turn of events, a gas-related incident in a garden colony in Munich has resulted in the loss of two lives, with four others sustaining injuries. The tragedy unfolded during a private gathering held in a recreational garden area, leading to an urgent response from emergency services.

Authorities reported that a 50-year-old man, who was critically injured, passed away in the hospital on Sunday. This follows the earlier death of a 41-year-old man, who succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident that occurred on Saturday evening. Additionally, four male attendees sustained minor injuries, while one individual remained unharmed.

The police suspect that a generator, located in the basement of the garden shed, was responsible for emitting carbon monoxide, which led to the unfortunate circumstances. It has been reported that both deceased individuals spent an extended period in the basement during the celebration.

When their absence was noted, fellow party-goers went to check on them, only to discover the two men unresponsive on the floor. Efforts were made to bring the 50-year-old outside, while emergency responders retrieved the 41-year-old from the basement, but it was too late for both.

The investigation into the incident has been handed over to the criminal police, who are currently examining the specific causes that led to this tragic event. The garden shed has been secured as part of the ongoing inquiry.
