In a tragic incident in Kharkiv, eastern Ukraine, at least three individuals have lost their lives due to a Russian drone strike, according to reports from Ukrainian emergency services. The Ukrainian authorities have attributed this assault to Russian forces, highlighting the ongoing violence in the region.

The drone strike in Kharkiv is part of a broader pattern of violence that has seen further casualties in other Ukrainian regions, including Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv, where five more injuries were reported. Local officials are holding Russian forces accountable for these attacks.

Meanwhile, on the diplomatic front, a media report indicates that members of U.S. President Donald Trump's inner circle have advised him against engaging in a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin at this time. According to sources, the advisors suggested that Trump should wait until Putin commits to a comprehensive ceasefire with Ukraine.

Recent assessments from NATO indicate a significant rise in Russian military casualties, estimating around 250,000 fatalities since the onset of the conflict. This figure includes a staggering total of approximately 900,000 wounded or killed soldiers. In February alone, estimates suggest over 35,100 Russian soldiers were lost.

The rising casualty figures are attributed to an escalation in combat zones, leading to intensified military operations. Furthermore, around 1,500 North Korean soldiers have reportedly died in the conflict, with another 3,500 sustaining injuries.

This initiative aims to uncover the remains of those killed during a wave of violence against Polish civilians during World War II.
