Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg - A significant fire incident occurred late Friday night, resulting in substantial damage to a residential building. The alarm was raised around 11:45 PM when residents reported flames emerging from a terrace of an old converted farmhouse located in the Mühlhausen district of Villingen-Schwenningen.

Upon arrival, emergency services found that the fire had already engulfed a caravan parked nearby and was rapidly spreading to the building's facade and roof structure. The situation escalated quickly, with the front section of the house fully ablaze.

The Mühlhausen fire department was the first to respond, supported by teams from Schwenningen and Weigheim, along with a command unit. Firefighters worked diligently throughout the night to control the blaze, which continued into the early morning hours.

Fortunately, all nine occupants of the building managed to evacuate safely and sustained no injuries. Initially, they found refuge with relatives as the structure was rendered uninhabitable. The estimated damage from the fire is around EUR600,000.

In light of the incident, power supply to several homes on the street was interrupted, and a temporary solution for electricity restoration is currently being established. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
