Redcare Expands Pharmaceutical Shipping Operations with Czech Republic Hub

Redcare Pharmacy has significantly expanded its European logistics network by launching a new online pharmacy and distribution center in Pilsen, Czech Republic. This strategic move is set to enhance the company's service capability and support its continued growth in the European market.

The project, which began with initial groundwork in October 2024, reached operational status in early December following a brief test phase. The transition of shipping operations from Sevenum, the Netherlands, to the new Czech facility marks a pivotal step in Redcare's logistics development. Customers, particularly in Austria, are now serviced directly from this new hub, resulting in shorter delivery times and improved product availability.

The Pilsen location was selected for its logistical advantages, enabling Redcare to optimize shipping routes and streamline internal processes. This expansion is expected to substantially increase distribution capacity, with the company estimating the ability to process and dispatch up to 15 million additional packages of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines annually for markets across Europe.

Operational efficiency and cost reduction are core objectives of this development. By minimizing shipping distances and refining supply chain workflows, Redcare aims to achieve significant savings while maintaining high standards of customer service. The company has confirmed that the majority of its workforce involved in logistics has transitioned to the new site, with further recruitment planned to support the enlarged operation.
