In a significant law enforcement operation, approximately 230 police officers intervened yesterday afternoon in Kreuzberg to prevent an unlawful occupation of a vacant establishment. The incident unfolded around 4:40 PM when around 100 masked individuals gathered on Reichenberger Straße, attempting to gain access to the property.
Despite the swift efforts of law enforcement, around 30 individuals managed to breach the building's entrance. However, police quickly responded, successfully removing them from the premises and restoring order to the street. Following this, officers conducted identity verification measures on those present.
A spontaneous assembly was organized by additional attendees at the scene, which drew up to 200 participants before concluding at approximately 9:45 PM. Throughout the operation, police imposed restrictive measures on around 50 individuals and initiated investigations for breaches of public peace and trespassing.
It was reported that three police officers sustained minor injuries during the enforcement action but continued to serve on duty. The authorities emphasized the importance of maintaining public order and safety, reiterating their commitment to addressing unlawful occupations and disturbances.
