Pharmacon Schladming Undergoes Structural Reorganization

Wed 27th Aug, 2025
Since its inception in 2015, the Pharmacon Winter Congress has taken place in Schladming. In a recent announcement, Dr. Armin Hoffmann, President of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists, stated that the Pharmacon Schladming has been streamlined. This upcoming event will convey a greater volume of content in a shorter timeframe while maintaining the high scientific standards of the presentations. Scheduled for January 18 to January 22, 2026, the substantial continuing education congress will focus on 'Common Diseases'. Each educational session is designed to last 75 minutes, followed by an immediate discussion with the speakers. The congress will also feature seminars, audiovisual presentations, and partner symposia. Annually, two Pharmacon congresses are held: one in winter in Schladming and another in summer in Meran. The 2026 winter congress will mark the 54th occurrence of this event, which has been held in Schladming since 2015, previously taking place in Davos from 1971 to 2014. Hoffmann emphasized the unique blend of tradition and modernity that the Pharmacon congresses offer, attracting hundreds of pharmacists from German-speaking regions each year due to their exceptional and high-quality scientific programs. He noted that the organization takes participant feedback into account to continually enhance the congress experience. The scientific content of the Pharmacon congresses is overseen by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists, while the organizational aspects are managed by Avoxa - Media Group of German Pharmacists.
