Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock Reunite for 'Practical Magic 2'

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are set to enchant audiences once again as they return to their iconic roles in the upcoming sequel to the beloved 1998 film, 'Practical Magic.' Kidman recently shared a video on social media, marking the first day of filming for 'Practical Magic 2,' which features the actresses reprising their roles as the Owens sisters. In the clip, the two stars are seen standing beside gravestones, sharing a warm embrace, while Bullock hints that they have a significant amount of work ahead of them.

The original film depicted the lives of the Owens sisters, Sally and Gillian, who belonged to a long line of witches. Following the tragic death of their parents, the sisters were raised by their quirky aunts, who introduced them to the world of magic and the haunting curse that plagued the Owens women: any man who falls in love with them meets an untimely demise. Directed by Griffin Dunne, the film garnered a devoted following over the years.

Warner Bros. has officially announced that 'Practical Magic 2' is scheduled to hit theaters in September 2026. Joining Kidman and Bullock in the film are the original cast members Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, reprising their roles as the eccentric aunts, Jet and Franny. Additionally, new talents Joey King and Maisie Williams are set to join the cast, promising to bring fresh energy to the beloved franchise.

The sequel will be directed by Susanne Bier, a Danish filmmaker known for her Oscar-winning work on 'In a Better World.'
