Motorcyclist Severely Injured in B500 Collision

Freiburg - A serious accident occurred on the B500 involving a motorcyclist who sustained severe injuries. The incident took place on May 25, 2025, at approximately 11:45 PM, when a 20-year-old motorcyclist collided with a Volkswagen vehicle while attempting to overtake it on an uphill stretch of road. The 25-year-old driver of the VW was in the process of making a left turn towards Brunnadern at the time of the crash.

The motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Fortunately, the two occupants of the Volkswagen emerged from the incident uninjured. The impact of the collision resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles, necessitating their removal from the scene by towing services. The precise extent of the financial damage caused by the accident has not yet been assessed.

Authorities from the Traffic Police department in Weil am Rhein have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Additionally, emergency services, including paramedics and the local volunteer fire department, were dispatched to the scene to assist.
