Dortmund witnessed a troubling incident on the evening of July 27, 2025, as a 43-year-old man caused chaos aboard the S4 train and on the platform at Lütgendortmund station. The situation escalated when the individual, who was later identified as a German citizen, began behaving erratically, leading to a swift response from local federal police.
According to reports, the man engaged in inappropriate behavior, including spitting on the ground and urinating on the platform. His actions drew the attention of train conductors, who found themselves threatened when he brandished a glass bottle in their direction.
Despite multiple requests for him to disembark from the train, the man continued to refuse, exhibiting aggressive behavior towards the staff. Upon arriving at the scene, police officers were informed of the situation and quickly intervened. They proceeded to restrain the man, enforcing a prohibition against him continuing his journey.
During the arrest, the man reportedly hurled insults at the Deutsche Bahn employees, further complicating the situation. Ultimately, he was escorted out of the station after receiving a formal notice prohibiting him from returning.
Authorities are now pursuing legal actions against the individual for threats, insults, and violations of public order, alongside an administrative proceeding related to his unsanitary conduct.
