Augsburg - A 27-year-old man was apprehended by authorities on Friday after allegedly harassing a group of young girls at the Plärrer festival in Augsburg. The incident reportedly took place around 5:45 PM, when the man approached a group of minors and began to follow them, ultimately inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl.
Following the distressing event, the young girls promptly notified law enforcement officials about the man's actions. Thanks to the detailed description provided by the witnesses, police were able to locate and detain the suspect shortly thereafter on the festival grounds.
The man was taken into custody for further questioning at the Plärrer police station, where he underwent a standard identification process. Subsequently, he was issued a ban from the festival site. The police have launched an investigation into the matter, focusing on charges related to sexual harassment.
This incident underscores the importance of quick reporting in such situations and the responsiveness of local law enforcement in ensuring the safety of community members, particularly minors. The authorities continue to investigate the case to gather more information and ensure that appropriate legal actions are taken.
