Lufthansa Flight Returns to Frankfurt Due to Bomb Threat

A Lufthansa flight en route from Germany to India had to make an unexpected return to Frankfurt following a bomb threat. The aircraft safely landed back in Frankfurt on Sunday evening, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the Federal Police on Monday. The alert regarding the threat was communicated to authorities by Lufthansa's corporate security team.

According to the reports, the plane, which was initially scheduled to land in Hyderabad, circled back and landed at approximately 6:30 PM local time without incident after diverting through Bulgarian airspace. The Federal Police spokesperson stated that the flight could not be cleared to land in India due to the bomb threat, necessitating the return to Frankfurt.

Lufthansa also verified that flight LH752 was compelled to return to Frankfurt. A spokesperson for the airline mentioned that while they are aware of various speculations surrounding the incident, they are refraining from commenting further.

Passengers aboard the flight were required to stay overnight at the Frankfurt airport and were expected to continue their journey on Monday. The exact number of passengers affected by this incident was not disclosed by the authorities.
