Johnny Depp Unveils New Look in Upcoming Film 'Day Drinker'

Johnny Depp has revealed a striking new appearance in a recently shared image from his upcoming film, Day Drinker. This marks the actor's first major Hollywood project since his highly publicized legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard.

The image, posted on Instagram in collaboration with Lionsgate, features the 61-year-old actor sporting a significant amount of gray hair and a full beard, showcasing a transformation from his well-known roles in the past.

Day Drinker is set to be Depp's first Hollywood film following the tumultuous court proceedings surrounding allegations of domestic violence made by Heard. Reports from reputable entertainment outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter and Variety indicate that this film will also reunite Depp with actress Penélope Cruz, marking their fourth collaboration. The duo previously appeared together in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011).

The film, directed by Marc Webb, known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man, will be shot in Spain. The storyline centers on a bartender aboard a luxury yacht who encounters a mysterious guest portrayed by Depp.

This production represents a significant return for Depp, who faced severe scrutiny over the past few years due to the legal challenges with Heard. After a lengthy defamation trial, Depp emerged with a favorable verdict in June 2022. He made his comeback to cinema with a role in the historical drama Jeanne du Barry a year later.
