IFA to Remain in Berlin Until 2034

The International Funkausstellung (IFA), a leading technology exhibition, will continue to take place in Berlin for at least another decade, with organizers signing a new agreement during the opening ceremony of this year's event.

The contract was formalized by Leif Lindner, the head of the IFA Management Company, Mario Tobias, the head of the Messe Berlin, and Sara Warneke, managing director of GFU Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH. This milestone ensures the long-term future of the exhibition in the German capital.

Berlin's governing mayor emphasized the significance of the IFA in enhancing the city's status as a prominent hub for the digital and entertainment industries in Europe. The event has played a key role in attracting businesses and innovators to the region.

This year's IFA features around 1,900 exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in home electronics, gaming, and digital health. The exhibition opened its doors to the public on Friday afternoon and will run until Tuesday, with an anticipated attendance of approximately 200,000 visitors.
