Hertha BSC Aims for Victory in Final Matches of the Season

Sun 4th May, 2025

Hertha BSC is determined to finish the season on a high note, targeting maximum points from their remaining three matches in the 2. Bundesliga. Coach Stefan Leitl has set a clear goal of achieving three consecutive victories, starting with the upcoming home match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

The team will also face Preußen Münster away before concluding the season at the Olympiastadion against Hannover 96. Securing three points in the initial match would further complicate the relegation concerns for Fürth, a former club of Leitl.

Leitl is keen to improve Hertha's home record, where they have struggled throughout the season, managing only two wins at the Olympiastadion. Despite being unbeaten in their last six matches, Hertha currently holds the title of the league's weakest home team, with only three wins and 13 points accumulated. Conversely, they have a strong historical advantage over Fürth, who have never won a competitive match at this venue.

Unfortunately for Hertha, they will be without key striker Marten Winkler, who sustained an adductor injury during training and is ruled out for the remainder of the season. The coach will also have to do without several other players, including John Anthony Brooks, Jeremy Dudziak, Palkó Dárdai, Luca Schuler, Bilal Hussein, and Pascal Klemens, further challenging the team's depth as they head into this crucial stretch.
