German Finance Minister Advocates for Fair Competition During Beijing Visit

During a recent high-level visit to Beijing, Germany's Finance Minister engaged in discussions with Chinese government officials, emphasizing the necessity for equitable competition conditions between the two economic powers. The minister addressed the concerns of German businesses operating in China, particularly regarding access to critical raw materials and the impact of China's export restrictions.

China, recognized as a leading global supplier of rare earth metals essential for various industries, has implemented measures limiting the export of these key resources. German companies, reliant on these materials for manufacturing and technological development, have encountered stringent approval processes and reduced allocations, complicating their international supply chains.
