Ferrari Driver Loses Control at High Speed Near Regensburg, Both Passengers Seriously Injured

A dramatic incident unfolded on the A96 highway near Regensburg when a Ferrari driver lost control of his vehicle while traveling at speeds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour. The accident occurred on Sunday evening in a curve near Leutkirch, resulting in both passengers sustaining serious injuries, according to police reports.

The driver, a 36-year-old man, initially collided with the central guardrail, causing the vehicle to careen across multiple lanes before breaking through a wildlife protection fence. The Ferrari ultimately came to a halt approximately 50 meters off the highway.

Despite the severity of the crash, both occupants were able to exit the vehicle before it was engulfed in flames. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, transporting the injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment. The damage to the luxury sports car has been estimated at around 120,000 euros.

Authorities noted that there were no speed limits in place at the accident location, which may have contributed to the high-speed crash. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
