Zeit ohne Gefühle
Join us for an evocative theatrical experience on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 20:00 to 21:30 at the Münchner Kammerspiele in the Therese-Giehse-Halle. This performance, titled Zeit ohne Gefühle, is a narrative by Lena Gorelik that delves into the complex history of Feldafing, a serene town near Munich by Lake Starnberg. Once a favored vacation spot for figures like Sissi and Thomas Mann, Feldafing also harbors a darker past. From 1934 to 1945, it was home to the 'Reichsschule,' an educational institution for the Nazi elite, and post-World War II, it became a camp for 'Displaced Persons,' primarily Jewish survivors of concentration camps.
Gorelik's work explores the layers of this German history, intertwining the past's narratives with the present. Drawing from the life story of Holocaust survivor Mordechai Teichner, who arrived in Feldafing at just 14 years old, the piece intricately weaves together different timelines. It poses profound questions about memory, history, and how they resonate in our current lives.
Experience this powerful storytelling that reflects on the essence of remembrance and learning, set against the backdrop of a location steeped in historical significance.
