The Theatron Musik-Sommer is a free open-air festival featuring both promising and established bands and solo artists from Munich and the surrounding region, as well as international acts. This event takes place annually for several weeks on the lakeside stage in the Munich Olympic Park, running concurrently with the Summer Festival of the Olympic Park. The Theatron is recognized as one of the longest-running free music festivals in the world and has been hosted in the amphitheater by the Olympiasee since the early 1970s.
