Picasso, Beckmann, Turner und andere Geschichten, die das Meer erzählt
The exhibition brings the sea to the mountains: Over 65 works - paintings, watercolors, and drawings from the 17th century to the present day - reveal the great fascination and enduring allure of the ocean, which continuously inspires artists with new interpretations. Joyful beach life and idyllic harbor views, impressionistic color plays, and abstract, atmospheric representations: The works present a multifaceted panorama of maritime motifs and tell various stories of calm and strength, movement and change, longing and endless expanse.
Featured artists include Giacomo Balla, Max Beckmann, Eugène Boudin, Georges Braque, Bernard Buffet, and many more.
Exhibition runs until 20.07.2025.
