Peter Cat Recording Co. is coming to Munich with their new album! If you start to explore the rich discography of Peter Cat Recording Co., you will be overwhelmed by the diversity of styles and genre influences. While many artists and bands shy away from genre classifications out of fear of harsh comparisons, the Indian alternative rock band from New Delhi seems unable to fit their ever-evolving sound into any rough category. The quintet, consisting of vocalist Suryakant Sawhney, drummer Karan Singh, bassist Dhruv Bhola, and multi-instrumentalists Rohit Gupta and Kartik Sundareshan, combines sounds from various decades and cultures seamlessly, from Gypsy Jazz and Cabaret to Disco, Funk, Bossa Nova, and even Ballroom Waltz.

Their sound is imbued with liveliness and danceability, first demonstrated in full on their debut album "Bismillah" released in 2019. Rich brass arrangements meet piano segments and even electronic elements, creating a vibrant summer feeling across ten tracks. You often get the impression that sounds that naturally do not belong together are not only tamed by the group but also woven into a grand, harmonious sound tapestry.

This creative journey continues with their second album "BETA," released last year, which they will present during their tour in July. For one of the stops, they are heading to Munich's Technikum.
