Open Air im Park: Der Revisor
Join us for an outdoor performance of Der Revisor, a classic comedy by Nikolai Gogol, presented by the Grüne Bühne München. This play, originally premiered in 1836 in Saint Petersburg, is recognized as the first Russian societal comedy. It tells the story of a supposed government official who disrupts an entire village, serving as a sharp satire on corruption and abuse of office. The misled characters represent not just individuals but the broader corrupt society of contemporary Russia. Gogol intended to compile all the evils he knew and present them to laughter in one go.
