Novus String Quartet
The Novus String Quartet will perform on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 20:00 at the bosco Bürger- und Kulturhaus in Gauting. Known for their passionate interpretations, the quartet has been praised for their interpretations of classical masterpieces. Formed in 2007 at the Korea National University of Arts, the group gained international recognition after winning the 2nd prize at the ARD Music Competition in 2012 and the 1st prize at the Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2014.
Since relocating to Germany in 2011, they have continued their studies and have become prominent figures in the classical music scene. Their recordings include works by Webern, Beethoven, Isang Yun, Tchaikovsky, Berg, and Schubert, with their most recent album featuring Shostakovich's string quartets released in spring 2022.
