Neue Philharmonie München: Benefizkonzert für Kolibri Interkulturelle-Stiftung

Herkulessaal, Residenz München

Join us for an enchanting evening of classical music at the Herkulessaal in the Residenz München on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 19:30 to 23:00. This special benefit concert is presented by the Neue Philharmonie München and supports the Kolibri Interkulturelle Stiftung, which promotes projects for refugees and migrants through language courses, vocational training, counseling, medical care, and therapy. All approximately 40 staff members are volunteers.

After the successful 20th Anniversary concert featuring Gustav Mahler's 2nd Symphony, the NPhM is excited to return to the Herkulessaal to perform for this worthy cause. Highlighting the concert will be the talented Chinese soloist, Jingyi Zou, who will perform Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1. Additionally, the program includes Sergei Prokofiev's 'Symphonie Classique' and Johannes Brahms' 4th Symphony, under the baton of our chief conductor, Fuad Ibrahimov.

The Neue Philharmonie München (NPhM) is composed of international music students and regularly performs at the Herkulessaal and various concert venues in Germany and abroad. In 2025, the NPhM will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The orchestra is musically supported by members of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra, and experienced faculty from renowned music universities across Germany and Europe.

Jingyi Zou, born in Shenzhen, China, in 2004, began playing the piano at the age of four and has won numerous awards, including first prizes at various competitions. She has studied with prominent instructors and performed with esteemed orchestras. Currently, she is enrolled in the PreCollege program at the Manhattan School of Music, under the guidance of Alexandre Moutouzkine.

Fuad Ibrahimov, born in 1982 in Shusha, Azerbaijan, has an extensive conducting career, having directed numerous prestigious orchestras in Europe and Asia. He has been the chief conductor of the Neue Philharmonie München since November 2014 and won the Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition in Paris in 2018.
