Leroy Jones, born in 1958, is recognized as one of the foremost trumpeters of recent decades, celebrated for his role in the 'New Orleans Today' movement. This movement honors traditional jazz while infusing it with elements of blues, R&B, and funk. His life's work was documented in the acclaimed film 'A Man and his Trumpet,' which received the Best Documentary Award at the Austin Film Festival in 2019. That same year, he was awarded the prestigious Ascona Jazz Award, one of the most significant accolades for jazz musicians worldwide.
Uli Wunner has toured extensively with esteemed musicians from the international New Orleans jazz family and has established himself as a respected figure in the jazz scene. During his annual visits to New Orleans, he secures gigs at the city's most prominent music clubs.
