Körperwelten - Am Puls der Zeit

Kleine Olympiahalle

From April 11, 2025, Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley will present their latest exhibition, "Körperwelten München - Am Puls der Zeit," at the Kleine Olympiahalle in Munich. This exhibition marks the return of the world's most successful anatomy exhibition, which previously captivated audiences in 2003 and 2014, generating intergenerational enthusiasm.

In "Körperwelten - Am Puls der Zeit," Dr. Angelina Whalley showcases the human body in various facets, illustrating its vulnerabilities and potentials in light of the challenges faced in the 21st century. The intention behind the exhibition is to encourage visitors to critically reflect on the constant sensory overload of modern life and its long-term impacts on health and well-being. "I want to inspire people to take responsibility for their health," the curator explains.

The exhibition provides insights on nutrition, exercise, and immune system strengthening, emphasizing how to achieve a healthy and long life in today's world. More than 56 million people worldwide have embarked on this journey of self-discovery through the human body.

Featuring authentic human specimens, including many whole body plastinates, the exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the complex structure of our insides while clearly explaining the functions and interactions of body systems and organs, as well as common diseases and their origins. The plastinates on display originate from the body donation program at the Institute of Plastination in Heidelberg, where over 21,000 individuals are registered.
