Karl Valentin & Liesl Karlstadt: Heimatlos - Hofausstellung
After the Musäum at Isartor is closed for fire safety renovations until spring 2026, Valentin and Karlstadt have become temporarily homeless. Nevertheless, they maintain a stylish appearance, as they have learned: regardless of where one lives, one must look sharp with a hat, cap, and cigar. This new outdoor exhibition showcases their significant art and the journey to it. Even in the open air, they fearlessly tackle the theme of being homeless, foreign, and different.
The exhibition opens with remarks from Sabine Rinberger, Director of the Valentin-Karlstadt-Musäum, and Julia Schönfeld-Knor, City Councillor of Munich representing the Mayor, along with an introduction by curator Andreas Koll. Music performances by Valentin & Karlstadt / Koll will take place on Thursday, May 22nd, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The exhibition will be continuously accessible until October 31, 2025.
