Jonathan Jeremiah
On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 20:00 to 22:00, experience the unique sound of Jonathan Jeremiah at Werksviertel/Technikum in Munich. Born in London to an Anglo-Indian father and an Irish-Catholic mother, Jonathan Jeremiah combines dark acoustic R&B with folk-infused soul, influenced by the classic songwriting of John Martyn, Scott Walker, and Serge Gainsbourg. He began performing at the age of 14, showcasing his deep, rich baritone voice.
Jonathan made his debut with the album A Solitary Man in 2011, which achieved gold status in the Netherlands and reached number three on the charts. His follow-up albums, Gold Dust (2012), recorded with the Metropole Orkest, and Oh Desire (2015), solidified his presence, particularly in mainland Europe, earning him accolades, including an invitation from legendary James Bond composer John Barry to collaborate.
In 2018, he released his fourth studio album, Good Day, featuring singles like 'Mountain' and 'Good Day'. His fifth album, Horsepower For The Streets, was released in 2022, with tracks such as 'Restless Heart' and 'Youngblood' becoming live favorites. Over his career, Jonathan has released five high-quality albums and collaborated with prestigious orchestras including the Metropole Orkest, the British Heritage Orchestra, and the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, with whom he toured the Netherlands in 2020.
In 2025, Jonathan will make his return to the North Sea Jazz Festival for his first performance of the year, promising a new album and additional live dates to come.
