Euphonia
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM, experience a captivating concert at the Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste, featuring significant vocal works by renowned composers. The program includes the monumental and rarely performed a Ronne (A Day in the Library) by Luciano Berio, who will be honored on the occasion of his 100th birthday in 2025. Additionally, excerpts from the Partita by Caroline Shaw, the youngest recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Music, will be performed. This concert juxtaposes Anglo-American and continental European strands of the avant-garde and contemporary new music. Featured composers include Luciano Berio, Caroline Shaw, Beat Furrer, as well as world premieres by Markus Lehmann-Horn, Eva Kuhn, and Johannes X. Schachtner.
