In her exhibition, Doris Maximiliane Würgert explores the concepts of proximity and distance, both literally and metaphorically. Her work is rooted in the idea of approximation, where the viewer grapples with uncertainties and seeks clarity in a blurred reality. The exhibition raises questions about how close one can truly be to something if time stretches, and whether this brings us closer or pushes us further away.

Würgert's art invites contemplation on the unsettling closeness presented in her images, evoking emotions that resonate deeply and fill temporal gaps akin to literary ellipses. One of her notable video pieces, titled ahnend_2, embodies these themes.
