Das gelobte Land
Asiimwe Deborah Kawe's play 'Das gelobte Land' delves into the life of Achen, a non-documented immigrant and nurse, who contributes significantly to the prosperity of a nation that decides to expel her overnight. Set against the backdrop of the U.S. in the wake of the 2017/18 New Year, the narrative intertwines the lives of Achen and Kat, a former intern at a seminar on women's health that Achen attended fifteen years ago. Their paths cross again, reflecting the devastating impact of the 'zero-tolerance' immigration policy of the Trump administration. This world premiere at the Residenztheater marks the first work of Hungarian director Jakab Tarnóczi in Munich, featuring a talented cast including Isabell Antonia Höckel, Liliane Amuat, and Naffie Janha.
