An extensive emergency response unfolded in Berlin-Rummelsburg following an incident where an individual fell from a party boat into the Spree River. The situation prompted a significant mobilization of rescue personnel, including firefighters, police, and water rescue teams.

The event occurred late Thursday evening, as reported by the Berlin Fire Department. Witnesses quickly alerted authorities after the individual, who had fallen from the boat, failed to resurface. In response, a coordinated search operation was initiated, involving multiple agencies including the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) and the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) water rescue service.

Rescue efforts included the deployment of eight rescue boats and divers who were prepared to search the waters. Fortunately, the search concluded successfully when police located the individual along the riverbank. According to the fire department, the person had managed to pull themselves out of the water using their remaining strength.

In a related incident, another party boat in the area caught the attention of law enforcement due to reports of individuals displaying inappropriate gestures. This raised concerns among authorities regarding safety and behavior on the waterways during such recreational activities.

Emergency responders provided immediate assistance to the individual who fell into the river, ensuring they received necessary medical care before transporting them to a nearby hospital.

The Berlin Fire Department has emphasized the importance of safety measures while engaging in water activities, especially during events that tend to attract large crowds. It is crucial for participants to remain vigilant and adhere to safety instructions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
