First Trailer for 'Battlefield 6' Unveiled by EA

Fri 25th Jul, 2025

Electronic Arts (EA) has officially released the first trailer for its upcoming title, 'Battlefield 6', which sets the stage for a conflict involving NATO. The trailer indicates a serious escalation, as a private military organization known as Pax Armata has declared war on the transatlantic military alliance, launching attacks on various targets within NATO territories. Among the notable locations featured in the trailer is Brooklyn, New York, along with its iconic bridge.

The trailer showcases rendered scenes that appear to be drawn from the game's single-player campaign, rather than providing direct gameplay footage. Traditional for the 'Battlefield' series, the single-player mode acts as a precursor to the extensive multiplayer experience that is expected to engage players for years. EA plans to unveil further details about the multiplayer component on July 31.

'Battlefield 6' is being developed by the renowned Swedish studio DICE, with assistance from Criterion Games, Motive Studio, and Ripple Effect. This collaborative effort has led to heightened expectations for the game. According to a report from Ars Technica, EA aims to attract 100 million players, a highly ambitious target considering the previous installment, 'Battlefield 2042', only managed to reach 22 million players and was broadly criticized as a failure. In contrast, 'Battlefield 1', released in 2016, is reported to have achieved approximately 30 million players, which means 'Battlefield 6' would need to significantly increase its player base to meet EA's expectations.

While EA has yet to announce an official release date for 'Battlefield 6', speculation suggests that the game could be launched later this year. A mistakenly published landing page hinted at an October 10 release date, although it has since been removed.
